Upper cervical chiropractic in Tacoma
Spire Chiropractic is a two-doctor practice for adults whose neck complaints keep coming back. We examine the upper neck, explain what we find and adjust only when the exam gives a reason.

Before you book
Three visits, in this order, so you know what comes next before you come in.
Your doctor asks about your neck, your history and what you want from care. Then comes a seated exam of how your head sits on your neck and how the top of it moves. You leave knowing what the exam found, with no obligation to continue.
A talk about your history and goals
A seated, hands-on exam of the upper neck
Your doctor shows you the findings and says whether upper cervical care fits. If it does, and you agree, you get one gentle adjustment after its risks are explained. If it does not, we say so and suggest who to see.
Findings explained in plain words
An adjustment only if you agree
Your doctor repeats the checks from visit one before deciding anything. Some visits end with no adjustment at all. Together you set the next step, with no promised number of visits.
The same checks, repeated
A plan you can change or stop
Scope
Spire Chiropractic is an upper cervical practice. Two licensed chiropractors examine the top of the neck, adjust it only when the exam shows a reason and check the result before the next visit. We do not diagnose or treat diseases, we do not promise results and we do not take the place of your physician. Results vary, and your doctor explains the risks of any neck adjustment before it happens.
The exam
The exam covers how you sit and stand, how your head rests on your neck and how the top two vertebrae move under your doctor's hands. Your doctor says what each check is for before doing it. Tell us at any point if something is uncomfortable, and we stop.
You can say no to any step
Imaging only when it is medically necessary, and your doctor says why first
A written summary of what we found, if you ask

Questions

A talk about your neck and your history, a seated exam of the upper neck and a review of what your doctor found. If your doctor finds a reason for an adjustment, they explain it first and make it only if you agree.
Every kind of care carries some risk. Soreness after an adjustment is common and usually short. Rare serious problems, including stroke, have been reported after neck adjustments, so your doctor explains the risks before any neck adjustment and you can say no to any step. If you have a sudden severe headache or neck pain, new weakness or numbness, or trouble speaking or seeing, call 911 or see a physician first.
Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and changes it as you go. We do not promise a number of visits, and you can stop at any time.
We bill many plans for the parts of a visit a plan covers. How fees work explains what we bill, what we give you in writing and how to check your plan.
Only when they are medically necessary. Your doctor tells you why before any imaging is taken, and you can decline it.
